Privacy notice
Your information, explained.
Who is responsible
EKUE & EKUE LTD (company number 17550557), registered in England and Wales with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom, operates Ekue & Ekue and is responsible for the personal information collected through this website and enquiries. Contact info@ekueandekue.com about your information. This notice covers website visitors, prospective clients and subscribers; any client engagement will have its own relevant contractual and privacy information.
Information we collect
If you subscribe, we record your email address, chosen language, the date of your most recent signup and the version of the consent wording you accepted. If you email us, we receive the contact details, business information and message you choose to send. Hosting services also process technical information needed to deliver and secure the website, such as IP addresses, request times and browser details. When an administrator signs in, Sites supplies an account identifier and email address; the website stores the administrator’s Site-specific identifier to control access.
How and why we use it
We use your consent to register you for the regulatory brief and send the updates you requested. You can withdraw consent at any time. We use enquiry information to respond to you and take requested steps towards an engagement, or in our legitimate interests in handling business enquiries. Our legitimate interests in operating a secure website support access controls and abuse prevention. Newsletter signup attempts are limited using a temporary, hashed IP-based identifier; the raw IP address is not saved in the newsletter database. We do not sell subscriber details, make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, or use this list for unrelated marketing.
Who can receive information
Access is limited to the administrator and service providers needed to host, secure and operate the website and business email. This website is hosted through OpenAI Sites using Cloudflare infrastructure. Those providers may also process technical data under their own service terms and privacy notices. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to establish or defend legal rights. A newsletter delivery provider has not yet been connected; this notice will be updated to identify any material change before that provider is used.
International processing
Our hosting and email services may process information outside the United Kingdom. The applicable provider arrangements determine processing locations and transfer safeguards, which may include adequacy decisions or approved contractual safeguards. You can request details of the providers, processing locations and safeguards applicable to your information by emailing us. OpenAI’s and Cloudflare’s privacy notices also explain their international processing.
How long we keep information
We keep subscription records for up to two years from your latest signup, unless you renew your consent. Older records are excluded from the active list and cleaned up when the list is accessed or another signup is processed. You can request removal sooner. The application’s temporary anti-abuse records expire at the end of the relevant hour and are cleaned up on later signup requests. We normally retain unsuccessful business enquiries for up to two years after the last substantive contact, unless a longer period is necessary for a legal claim or obligation. Client records follow the retention arrangements for the engagement. Provider security logs and backup copies follow the relevant provider’s retention arrangements.
Your choices and rights
Subscription is optional and is not a condition of making an enquiry. To withdraw consent, unsubscribe, request access, correction or deletion, or ask about restriction, objection or portability where applicable, email info@ekueandekue.com. We may need proportionate information to confirm that a request is yours. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. We aim to respond to rights requests within one month, subject to the extensions and exceptions allowed by law. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, and we welcome the opportunity to address your concern first.
Cookies, links and changes
Our separate cookie notice explains the website’s current use of browser technologies. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. We will update this notice when our processing changes and bring material changes to subscribers’ attention when appropriate. Please avoid sending identity documents, sensitive personal information or confidential client files in an initial enquiry.
